Okay, I didn't love this as much as the previous books... I think it's a good thing the tv show ends after season (aka book) 6. There's a thirty year time gap and all the characters are suddenly 60 or 70 and it feels weird? Also, this is definitely the start of a seperate 'trilogy' in the series. It feels like this will continue in Tiamat's Wrath and find its conclusion in Leviathan Falls. Still going to finish the series, of course, I still love it. It just might take a while before I pick up book #8

Zdecydowanie najlepsza w serii do tej pory. Time jump dużo tutaj robi dla różnych postaci.

The series continued and much like modern shows, features a unique way to change the setting just slightly and find a new way to keep the story fresh again. One good thing is that by doing this the characters were allowed to not have the entirety of the 'lives' that we see in print become overwhelmed by the issues of our main story. It feels like the best way a sequel brings in older characters for nostalgia, but we know that they are there for the right reasons.

We know that our crew of heroes has the ability to make things happen and when things don't break their way its mostly because they are choosing to do the right thing and be the good guys. Knowing this was a set up for the ending, thibgs kept pace even though all of these novels are really long.
