This was definitely an interesting book! Though I’m not an avid country music fan, I enjoyed learning about Loretta Lynn’s rise to fame and her friendship with Patsy Cline. Loretta Lynn’s voice shines in the writing style, making it feel like she was telling the story to a close friend. Now I’m ready to listen to “Crazy” again!
Content Warning: I did skip one chapter because I wasn’t sure if the content, and there were a few minor curse words.

Who does not love Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline!!! This is a short read/listen and if you saw the movie, Coal Miner's Daughter then some of Loretta Lynn's tales will be very familiar.

This book, Lynn's third memoir, is just beautiful. Reading about her lifetime friendship with Patsy Cline --cut unfortunately short-- is both hilarious and tear-jerking. Loretta has such a wonderful way of telling a story. And Patsy Cline is one hell of a character to read about.

Fans of country music will love this book. All of the stories told in it are interesting and enjoyable. I’m very grateful to Loretta Lynn for taking the time to tell them. I enjoyed getting to know a little more about her and Patsy’s friendship. There are more than a few part that will have you in tears so do keep some Kleenex on hand. If you get the opportunity I recommend listening to this audiobook. It’s read by Loretta’s daughter Patsy.
I highly recommend this book if you enjoy Country music.

This was fine. Some of the things are straight out of the film "Coal Miner's Daughter." I'm not sure if Loretta has changed some of the details to fit the movie more closely or that movie is just that accurate. Some of the stories are incredibly personal and a bit awkward to read. Overall it's fairly good. It's interesting to hear Loretta discuss her life. If you're interested in Loretta's life though, her first book "Coal Miner's Daughter" is the place to start.
