I did really enjoy this book! Mostly though, I loved seeing Allyson make friends with Dee, drop Melanie, and find herself. I loved the one day in Paris and the end of the book a lot but I felt like the middle was a bit slow...

I did really like how Gayle Forman showed Allyson finding herself and how she had to push her limits, find a job, go outside her comfort zone and work hard to gain some confidence and learn she's capable of a lot more than she realized.

I loved the transformation of Allyson in this book and ultimately really did enjoy this book.

So that went well.

Gayle Forman is a very good writer. Though the story-line was very simple, it's only the writing style what kept me going.

OHMYGOD. MY HEART. WHATTTTT. I NEED TO GET PURPOSEFULLY LOST IN PARIS NOW OR EUROPE IDK. I MEED JUST ONE YEAR GAHHHHH.

Review to come o.o

THIS BOOK'S THE EPITOME OF FRUSTRATION!!

PLOT: WELL, THE STORY'S THE EPITOME OF FRUSTRATION AND FURY. I TEND TO MANAGE MY ANGER TOWARD THEIR STUPIDITY. I GUESS THIS BOOK HELPED ME. HAHAHAHHAHA. BUT THIS BOOK'S GREAT. READ IT. IT'S GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH, AND YOUR MENTAL HEALTH. HAHAHAHAHAHHAA jk.

“He showed me how to get lost, and then I showed myself how to get found.”

Apparently I can only listen to Gayle Forman books. For anyone who has traveled, met someone briefly who changed everything, for adventure.

It pays off. Not totally sold on the "love story," but that is probably my jaded old age fighting with youthful optimism.

Ohhhhh, that ending!!

Gayle Forman captures voices very well and makes them captivating. Often I find the narrator of YA novels annoying. With Allyson, it wasn't the case.

Other than that, a few things I liked were that Allyson wanted to find herself, not just Willem. I liked how she became independent. I loved her journeys in Europe (I'm a total French nut) and I loved the friends she made along the way. Dee was the best.

Some things I didn't like: GIRL HATE. Can we stop this jealousy of other girls just because they like a boy you do? It's annoying. Also the "I don't like her because she likes to party and I like to read. I'm not like other girls" mentality is annoying. I see enough of it on mainstream TV and too much of it in YA novels, and it gets SO annoying. Stop it. I also hated the casually homophobic comment about Melanie's sexuality being a phase. Like we don't hear enough of that, too. Really unnecessary.

Other than that, it was a well-written, captivating book that I thoroughly enjoyed. Hoping to pick up the next one soon.

I just love love Gayle Forman!

I will murder this book after I make sweet love to it.
