Still loved it the second time.
This book frustrated me at times, but in the end I think I loved it. I am a fan of Gayle Forman, and this book had some many great things. None of them were new, whirlwind romance, (a little too much) pining over a lost love, finding yourself, Shakespeare, figuring out college and and traveling Europe. But the combination was ... special. It opened in Stratford-upon-Avon in front of a theatre I've seen Shakespeare performed in - I was hooked right there. And the places and experiences just sucked me in, so that even when I was frustrated with the characters I COULD NOT STOP READING. For the most part, I read the whole book this morning in one sitting. And I'm left suffering TEABS and anxiously awaiting the sequel out in the fall.

I love Gayle Forman's writing style. Her books are so lovely and so quick and easy to read. Sad about the kind of cliff hanger ending, can't wait for Willem's side of the story in [b:Just One Year|12842134|Just One Year (Just One Day, #2)|Gayle Forman|http://www.goodreads.com/assets/nocover/60x80.png|17992883] !! :)
I loved this book from the first to the last page. The travelling aspect to the story was amazing. I loved that I recognized a lot of the places Allyson went to. This book also made me feel like anything is possible, if you just go for it. Just One Day is not only a story about love, but also about finding yourself and it really touched me. I'm desperate for the next book.
her writing is so smart and her characters are so real, it makes you ache.

it was very romantic at first but Allyson is so stupid and naiveeeeee, after that one day her life was a mess and she was a mess, so depressive and dependent of Willem.. for just one day and one guy...
I didn't bought that love at first sight... but the books is interesting, I love the traveling part! And how she finds herself in that trip.. actually meanwhile she was looking for Willem (wich such a thing a find it stupid and lame) she finds her true self and I liked that.

I had high expectations with this book. And it was ok but it wasn't what I expected it to be.

I did not like the first part of the book and was underwhelmed by the ending. Allyson's character development was amazing, though, which was surprising, because I didn't care for her at all for the first 150 pages. Her experience as a college student was very interesting to read about, and her identity struggles were very realistic, and I just loved to see her grow and maturing as a character.

As a teenage girl who had just met anxiety and felt that she did not fit and that she did not know herself before she read this, this book helped me so much to find my place and open up to the world.

You'll never move on until you find all answers for all your hanging questions, and that was what making Allyson stuck. She couldn't move on or let go. Yes, it was one day, but in that particular day her life changed forever. She deserved to know why?!, so she went for it. She went looking for all the answers she needed. May be when she gets all her answers she'll get hurt, but still she'll be able to move on without blaming herself or wondering about that accident for the rest of her life.
