TJR is definitely one of my favourite authors of all time. There's never a boring moment in her books and the plot takes you by surprise (in a good way). If you love drama and the development of relationships, this book is for you.

This is not my normal pick of a book. I have also yet to find a TJR book I love up until now. This was a great story. It hurt my heart as much as it made me love the Riva siblings. I was wondering how the pacing of one night would flow over the course of the book but honestly the transition from past to present was smooth and I really enjoyed it. The last leg of the book was wild and there was a LOT going on. So much to unpack lol. This would be a great summer read.

Very smooth, entertaining read. I didn’t expect to like this book, but I grew fond of the Riva siblings’ relationships. Because this story involved many people hurting those they love, I paid attention to the apologies and to how people took accountability for their actions. And I enjoyed seeing how people responded differently to those apologies too.

My favorite quote from the book:
“ ‘Nina, you’re right. I’m a weak—‘
‘ Must be nice. To be able to be weak. I wouldn’t know.’ “

The book was incredibly easy and smooth to read, which makes me interested in reading the author’s other books.
