I'd give the first half of the book just 2 stars, and I almost gave up on it. It seemed predictable and quite slow paced. I did choose to keep going though and I would say that the second half definitely redeemed it.

There are differing opinions about whether you need to read 3, 5, or 25 books to become an expert on a subject, but Jade is sure that reading How to Live Like a Millionaire will do the trick for her. Because she’s just won the lottery and is flying to Marbella for a vacation. Okay, she still can’t break the habit of hoarding the courtesy samples from her bathroom or pocketing fruit from the breakfast bar, but hey, she’s a big tipper!

She does meet a millionaire. Isaac invites her back to his mansion, where the red flags just keep coming. The man has a clean fetish, the doors lock and she doesn’t have the code, and Marta, the housemaid, is shooting daggers at her. It took far longer than I would have liked for Jade to figure out the score, but then we read Marta’s point of view and the story really takes off.

This was the first Wilkinson book I’ve read but it won’t be my last. Thank you to NetGalley and Bolwood Books for introducing me to another author to love!

The Girl in Seat 2A is a thrilling and addictive read that will keep you guessing until the very end. Diana Wilkinson masterfully weaves a tale of deception, greed, and the lengths one will go to in order to protect their secrets.

One of the standout features of the book is its gripping premise. The idea of a protagonist who despises flying yet indulges in luxury after a big win sets the stage for a thrilling and suspenseful story. As the protagonist’s secrets are gradually revealed, the tension mounts, and the stakes become higher with each turn of the page.

The character development in The Girl in Seat 2A is excellent, with the protagonist’s complex motivations and inner turmoil driving the narrative forward. Wilkinson expertly captures the protagonist’s descent into paranoia and obsession, keeping the reader on edge as they navigate the twists and turns of the plot.

The pacing of the book is relentless, with each chapter ending on a cliffhanger that compels you to keep reading. Wilkinson’s skillful plotting and sharp prose create a sense of urgency that makes it difficult to put the book down.

In conclusion, The Girl in Seat 2A is a must-read for fans of psychological thrillers. It’s a pulse-raising rollercoaster ride of suspense and intrigue that will keep you guessing until the very end. I couldn’t recommend it more highly and give it a full 5 stars.

Got to 20% and there was still no plot, nothing happening, and the main character was so annoying. Maybe it gets better later on but I had to dnf

So similar to Frieda McFadden storylines. Annoy MC who even stated multiple times they should trust their gut yet didn't.
