well.

This book could have only been 50 pages if the MCs would have communicated like adults.. not just but TWICE she left with little to no explanation.

Irresistible Bargain with the Greek was full of the angsty, passionate goodness I expect out of Julia James’ writing. With a theme of revenge, along with a one-night stand that took our hero and heroine completely by surprise, sparks of all kinds were guaranteed to fly.

Julia James took us from the UK to Europe, the Caribbean, and back while our couple fought their attraction at every single turn. And I do mean every turn. Theirs was a case of very little communication and lots of assumptions that led to many issues between them, which at times was a bit frustrating. Without giving too much away, Talia and Luke had bad blood between their families–unbeknownst to Talia... Read More

**Actually a 3.5-rating**

She's a daughter of a ruthless rich man, he's out to destroy that rich man for the wrongs he did his family years ago.

They come together for a night of passion and both feel like each is THEIR ONE, but she leaves him to return to her dull prison and he is flabbergasted she's left him, because WHY?

He has already put in the plan to destroy her father in motion prior to their night together so, yeah...a few hours? or days? later she runs to his office and pleads to at least allow her to keep a villa in Spain.

He sees her as nothing but a pampered princess who deserves the loss.
She sees him as cutthroat and ruthless who wouldn't bother to listen about how he is also hurting her mother [who has fragile nerves & a weak heart].

When he learns of her interior design job, he hires her to help him with a broken-down hotel he wants to purchase in the Bahamas; it was destroyed by a recent hurricane.

So when he learns the ONLY client she's ever had was her father, he begins to treat her not just as a body in his bed but that she’s an amateur as a designer, so he placates her, making her think she'll be working for him.

All he plans for her is to be ready for him - in bed and out, give her jewelry and treat her like a trophy by his side, not even good enough to marry.

For a long time he still can't fathom she simply wanted comfort with money and why she left him for a 2nd time.

At some point they do get a crazy HEA but only when she has left him, leaving the villa in Spain with her mother and gone to a small apartment near a cafe where she began to work to pay bills.
