THIS WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!
I wasn't able to write a review as soon as I finished it because I was just so caught up with my feelings for this book that I couldn't formulate the right words to describe just how amazing it was. This isn't going to be a long review because I don't want to give anything about this book away - it is so much better to read it without knowing much about it because that's what I did. All I'm going to say is that this is definitely the best book I've read this year and I hope the next books I read will be just as amazing as this one, if not more. The characters and world-building were all I've ever wanted in a book, and the narration was clear and exciting. I could not have asked for more from this book!

An interesting and emotionally turbulent tale set in an interesting world filled with people and prejudices that feel real. I very much enjoyed it and am looking forward to the next one.

Good world building. SUPER asshole princes. Slow plotline. Same old thing where the unassuming girl turns out to be way more powerful and/or special than anyone ever guessed. Same old thing where girl has two different guys she could end up with and it's a whole big dramatic thing to freaking pick one.
