I impulse bought the Atlas Six and LOVED IT and just had to annotate it. It sparked something new with my reading and helped me realize how fun it was again! I impulse bought Alone With You In the Ether and OH MY GOSH SHES DONE IT AGAIN. The hexagons. The time. The fact that they are certainly bad for each other but also the story is so beautiful you can’t help but peer in and try to understand each of them. Goodness. Please read.

This book is so beautifully written. Most traditional love stories are lacking depth (this is my opinion - romance novels are not my typical read). But the story of Aldo and Regan was so unique with both characters being incredibly flawed in very different ways.

Was this book pretentious? You bet. Did I still enjoy it? Hell yes.

“Can you love my brain even when it is small? When it is malevolent? When it's violent? Can you love it when it doesn't love me?”

I think I’ll have a book hangover from this one for at least a week.
