didn’t tell me much more than I already knew with annoying drab out stories to illustrate such basic topics

I really enjoyed the way this book was written into a story, instead of the same ol' hum-drum dry toast trade talk. It really made it a quick and easy read.

It also allows me to give copies to my nephews in their teens, giving them a head start, where the aforementioned books would most definitely fall outside the scope of their understanding/interest.

Once you get past the corny dad jokes it's actually pretty helpful. I read it because my dad kept recommending it to me and I have to say I'm glad I read it. Still don't understand a bunch of stuff but it inspired me to look into various savings accounts with compound interest. I think that's a start.

This book was great! I was given a list of a few books to read for a class in school and this one looked the most appealing with it being in a fictional story format. It did not disappoint. The way the writer kept me interested was intriguing and the characters seemed to always know the questions I had. It gave great tips on how to prepare for the future all the while not hurting your pocket too much now. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone.

Very comprehensive book on personal finance. Definitely one of the best I've read.

Would recommend those new to learning about finance to read. As well as, those who know a bit (me), it helps to brush up your knowledge. I read the first edition and was surprised of the relevancy of most of the info. Likely will read the updated version.

Full notes to come. Less boring than it sounds and I actually feel kind of glad that I read this. I'm sure there are specific things in this book that have changed- perhaps the stance on what to invest in, but I feel like the fundamental principles must be the same.

Funny enough, it was the conversation not the descriptions of retirement savings that made me bored stiff. I'd much rather have had the facts presented without the fluff of a "plot" and bad jokes. I wouldn't recommend, just watch some financial planning videos on Youtube instead.
