This was a tough one . . . The first story really made me want to put it down and run for the hills. But there were some good ones and some that just didn't hit right for me. 2 of the best stories are Brandon's Laughter and Nothing's Missing Now. Both were by authors I had never read before, but loved the writing.

There was a story or two that wasn't really my cup of tea but overall, I loved this compilation and the way it was created by the m/m romance group (proper link forthcoming). Reading a series of short stories based on a photograph and someone's "letter to the author" is something I've never done before and I admired the talent of the authors, the creativity of those who chose the pictures and their story requests, not to mention the hard work of everyone involved with putting these collections together. And, they are all FREE! Amazing! I am going to read this entire series and every other compilation they've published in due time.

Nah.

I love the "friends-to-lovers"-trope. Reunited couples are a very special theme if you can pull it off just right. And while I don't fully believe in warmed-up relationships in real life, I like to read about them in my romance books. What can I say? I'm not choosing this genre for reality factor.

But this one was too much for me. Everything happened waaaay too fast and too easy. I didn't buy the love, I didn't buy the forgiveness and I got really annoyed when they even got the kid involved. Just not my thing, which is awful. Because I like K-lee Klein and her writing. But this one was a miss for me. I'm too hestitant to give it only one star, but it came too close too my liking.
