Beautiful artwork. The stories are interesting, because I know the dark and nasty places some of them go or start from. But this book is intended to be accessible to all (including children) so they are carefully written to stay true to source material while not spelling it out. For instance, the Sotah story has the woman accused of doing a "terrible thing" - it is never made clear what the terrible thing is (although if you know the source you would know what is being left unsaid), but it doesn't really matter the way the story is presented. It's fairly clever that way.
