The emphasis that you're environment shapes you and that it does not diminish your value or intelligence is amazing.  There were times I got confused with the timeline jumping but when it converged it was a fascinating plotline unfolding. 

I absolutely love Kya, and the love she has for the marsh. The relationships Kya had transcending social constructs were great and it helped establish the interconnection we all have to each other. Tate was one of my favorite characters and I felt devastated that in the end, he was left alone.

Jag VET att ALLA och deras mammor absolut avgudar den här boken men jag kom inte längre än halvvägs! Stäm mig! Spärra in mig! Gör va fan ni vill! För jag menar det! This was a beautiful story about prejudice, self-reliance, love and the beauty in nature and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Kya’s story was so moving and it made me sad and happy all at once. It was a beautiful book!
