God where do I begin....Frank Miller's politics are surface level fascism with just enough self awareness to confuse the hell out of me. The ideas core to this book, particular regarding crime, are unbelievably noxious shit - superpredators turned up to 11. The political commentary is the kind of shit men who call themselves Sigma males would unironically think is "so insightful." Its just thoroughly saturated with so many wrongheaded notions, about who commits crime, why people commit crime, the possibilities of change and repair. Theres misogyny, racism, and that agonizing and infuriating idea that only criminals care about their rights (mostly). Its the "tough on crime" shit that superhero comics still cant escape from. And its so, so racist.
For the handful of positives; I do think the character work in it is pretty good, Superman's political placement is good, and the art is phenomenal. Like outstanding, out of this world phenomenal.

The book looks great and has a great style, but the narrative was too much like Batman soup. Let's throw everything DC has to offer in one book and see what comes out.

This is my all-time favorite graphic novel. I think this is the 3rd time (or 4th. Can't remember) I read this masterpiece. After all these years, Frank Miller's writing still amazes me. He is my biggest influence in writing.
His art is not the best, but it definitely suits the story. The formatting and panels are incredible.

The Batman of this Graphic Novel is my favorite version.

This comic tells us the story of Batman's comeback after 10 years, Bruce Wayne is a 55 year old man, this happens after Jason Todd's death so he decide to stop being Batman, but Gotham is more violent than ever so he shows up again as Batman, we can also see a new Robin; Carrie Kelley.
Everything in this comic is good (except for the ones that don't like the old drawings at all) Personally, those "TV news scenes" make it a little boring.
