I love this story so much. I love Christian Damiano, the male main character, who is the hothead new pitcher for the Boston Revs. He meets Avery Wilson and her friends at a bar one night and is instantly drawn to her. They have one wild night together and he can’t stop thinking about her. Then, he learns that Avery is his coach’s daughter. Yikes.

Avery doesn’t always make the best choices where men are concerned. She decides to take a year hiatus from dating and men. Christian is amazing and decides to respect her commitment to non-dating and be her friend.

I love how the story progressed through the year and we get to see Avery and Christian’s “relationship” progress. His germ phobia was so interesting and made for some fun moments with him, Avery and a certain bird. Plus, the way he treats Avery, respects her and knows that she is his person is definitely swoon-worthy.

I can’t wait to read Emerson and Gianna’s story next!

“The Fall Out” is the first book in Jenni Bara’s new sports romance series, Boston Revs Three Outs, and it tells the tale of Christian Damiano and Avery Wilson’s forbidden friends to lovers romance.

I’ve been a fan of Jenni Bara’s writing for a while now, but “The Fall Out” just became my new favorite book of hers! Chris and Avery were both lovable characters, and I thought they were adorable together, even when they were just friends.

I thought Chris was such a swoony hero. He was a total grump, yes, but he was also a total sweetheart. I loved how devoted he was to Avery. Even when they were just friends, it was obvious how much he cared about her.

As for Avery, I thought she was a very genuine, kindhearted heroine. She had a lot of wonderful qualities that made her a character I could relate to. She had a lot of layers, which made her realistic. All in all, I thought this was a great read, I highly recommend!

I know when a book opens with a playlist, it’s gonna be a good one. I have never been more glad to have procrastinated finals. This was the most adorable book ever. Forbidden/secret sports romance, with amazing chemistry, banter, and humour. I’m in love with them. A romance story of a germaphobe who can’t handle anyone but her and puff daddy. I may have to read it again immediately.

‘Satan could not have produced Blondie.’
‘He’s a bird. You can’t feed him turkey.’
‘GIF of an old man slapping his leg and laughing.’
“Is he trying to eat me?”
“And that’s all I carry now, because if you ever asked for one again, I was going to have it on me.”
