This book is brilliant! Loved the writing, the story and the characters. Can't wait to read about the other couples!
(I couldn't give it more stars because I couldn't completely relate to the sport aspect of it, their love for it, their drive and passion... Despite which I loved them which goes on to show how truly epic this book is!)

I wish there was more dialogue between the two characters. It's a lot of reading her inner thoughts. It made the story go by so slow.

Brooke has the coolest job hands down, she gets to snowboard and take amazing photographs. She rightly guards her heart at first around Chase, but her attraction is undeniable. Chase is your classic star athlete, who are first comes across as very douchey until we peel him back like an onion! When we saw his genuine self, he was so awkward when it came to affection it was quite endearing.

The angst and tension between our MC’s was superb. I was getting s3xually frustrated for them

This book was so good. I love characters with pasts and layers. Both the hero and heroine are complicated.
I was a bit afraid of an asshole for no reason hero but this hero has reasons. He has a lot of history with tragedy and he has not dealt with it well.
She has a lot of history and has pushed it down.
I loved that the chemistry was palpable. They are fire on the page and they are complicated.

I thought this would be a 4 star for sure, but the last part of the book kind of turned me off.

Brook and Chase have their own issues which made the romance very angsty and so good. I was having a really great time with them, seeing the slow process of growing closer and pretending that it was "not serious". Both their jobs were so much fun to read about. I loved the setting and the snowboarding. Just the whole vibe was amazing. Brook was a cool female lead and Chase was your grumpy, asshole who has a soft spot for the female lead. The side characters were also really fun to watch, the interactions between each character were just so good and I really enjoyed it. I want books for all of them. Brooke and Chase are both emotionally stunned for most of the book, which turns a bit frustrating at the end. Especially when Chase was being a huge freaking ass. That whole thing with JJ at the end kind of ruined his character for me. Which is one of the reasons why the ending just didn;t do it for me. Chase didn't grovel enough for me to redeem his character, so I was mostly annoyed with the last few chapters where they were happy together again.

I still really enjoyed the first part of the book, just the ending was meh. I will for sure read JJ story in the future! Harper Dallas has an easy writing style, it was so easy to get into the story and characters. Overall, a pretty decent read!

Rating: 3,0 stars.

Wow

I really loved this book. I was sucked in from the moment I started reading and finished in a day. I often find myself taking breaks while reading but that never happened here. I felt very engaged in Brooke and Chase’s story right from the start. I thought the pacing was perfect. My only gripe was that I wish the epilogue went even further into the future. It was good but I wanted even more! I look forward to reading more by this author!
