This is a really difficult book for me to review.

On the one hand its badly written, incoherent, rambling, with no structure, no real message and no purpose. On the other hand, its an honest reflection of how Carrie Fisher thought, how she communicates and see's herself and her experiences, how each part of her fitted together creating this jumble of chaos that was her life.

I feel this idea worked better on stage - it is essentially her attempt at turning her act into a book and it didn't really work. It's very manic and strained - and although this makes sense in the context of her being an addict and manic depressive it made the text hard to get to grips with. By the end I didn't feel I knew Carrie Fisher any better or had any real sense of her life growing up in the shadow of famous parents. In fact I walked away and felt like I had left with nothing.

The most hilarious thing I have ever read even tho it’s not. I CAN 100% relate. That fact should scare me but it doesn’t.
