Felix is one of the most grating characters I’ve ever read.
meh hated Felix on Platonic Rulebook, hated him here. But I was happy to see Robbie and Brando (from Master of Mayhem). Ok it's super cool that this book was written by one of my favorite authors lol I just didn't like the characters.

eh….why did i lowkey like this more the second time around?! the fuck? that has never happened to me before. Okay so Felix was in fact a hypersexual cringy ass twink buutttt the whole point of the book is that he enjoys sex and thats okay but he also wants more. I guess that the first time i read this i was too busy judging him like everyone else in the book (and i do judge him for his bad timing with the sexual innuendos) but now idk i just get him better. I do feel for him because damn did it make me sad every time he felt like he was being rejected BuT bro needs to learn to cope with rejection. Sure Marshall never really rejected him but the way Felix acted when he thought that was the situation was not it. Other than that Marshalls can do no wrong in my eyes cuz he is so very sweet and cute. well..maybe he could kill his brother because god knows i cant stand that fuckers. Maybe i need to get on with the program and read frat wars but for now i hate him. One bad thing i do have to point out is that sometimes i was missing the connection between them. Because sure we always know that they want eachother and that they think the other did that cute and what not, but i was missing some base for the feelings its like they were build up on basically nothing. Like other than knowing u like eachother what else do u know about ur partner??? what is making them fall for eachother??? im missing a little bit of that.
Also completely random why was marshalls family kinda shit to him growing up? i know they keep making excuses for them but damn.
P.S. Bowser the man you are, more friends like you. Im happy they gave importance to friends in this book.
First read (march 15 2023)
This was crap but a really enjoyable one. Plot? who is she? okay the plot was a little bit weak but it was there. Idk, look the characters (specifically Felix ) where eh…cringy? but i was entertained so who am i to say this book sucked??? I think the other books in the series have more potential so i’ll see.

Marshall and Felix’s first date is an absolute disaster. Felix thinks Marshall is totally not into him, and Marshall is so nervous that he can barely function. Felix decides that they should just leave and never see each other again… until Marshall moves into the share house that Felix and his friends live in!
The entire plot of this book can be summarized into one word: MISCOMMUNICATION!
The entire book focuses on the relationship of Felix and Marshall, without a B plot. And their entire relationship is formed around them misunderstanding each other. Until 90%, it’s unresolved. As someone who hates miscommunication trope, this got tired fast.
HOWEVER, the characters were actually really likeable, and though they didn’t understand each other, I could understand them both as a reader. There were a couple cute moments, a couple funny moments, and the ending was sweet.
My final verdict is: if you don’t mind the miscommunication trope, you’ll probably like this. If you have the trope, you’ll probably be frustrated.
