This book was so frustrating to read. The characters never talked things out—they just kept making assumptions about each other, and it drove me nuts.
The beginning was painfully awkward, and the entire relationship between the main characters was built on miscommunication. I loved the first book because the main characters spent so much time together and started dating pretty early on. But in this one? I had no idea what these two were doing. Were they friends? Kind of. More than friends? Sort of. They didn’t talk about important stuff, so it was hard to tell.
The big moment—where they finally become boyfriends—happened at the 90% mark, which just felt way too late.
I think I’ll be more selective with this series from now on, especially since each book is written by a different author and they don’t seem super connected anyway.
To be honest, I wasn't so sure about Felix at first. We obviously got to know him in his father's story and back then, he was just a little too much of a drama queen in my opinion. I did buy this book because I love Saxon James' stories and I was just curious as hell and wanted to give Felix a chance to prove me wrong and he did. Yes, he was still a drama queen, but just seeing it from his point of view changed a lot for me. I did start to like him and halfway through I did start to love him –very much so. Marshall made me fall for him in Riley Hart's book, but in this one I was just a goner for him. I was also happy to see demisexuality coming back again.
And then the thing that were best apart from the storyline and leading characters in this book were all the cameos. I can't wait for more FU books!
Felix and Marshall definitely stole my heart, these two together are yin and yang, but in the perfect kind of balance. The story was so amazing and I read it in one sitting, I was so hooked! A fast, easy and fantastic read once again by an amazing author.
Now onto Mr. Romance, aka Liam!
5/5 stars.

Absolutely not with how much of this book didn't need to exist if only someone literally anyone had just said the word out loud in their actual human voice. Miscommunication is not my PREFERRED trope on a good day, but this got so grating so fast. I genuinely think this could have been a 100 page novella if Felix and Marshall would just talk to each other. ESPECIALLY Marshall. Like yes, obviously Felix brought the greater damage to the pairing, and had a lot of things to unlearn/evaluate about how he viewed sex and his self worth. But I spent about 150 pages waiting on Marshall using his words and talking like a big boy. There were enough sweet and reflective moments between them where I felt the love and the healing that I don't regret reading it per se, completionist brain go brr, but it was a near miss, and almost got upended by the stupid ass epilogue. I could easily see myself coming back to Playing Games in the future if I just want a sweet read that will take up a few hours of a night and leave me happy. I don't see myself returning to this one.

Very cute! And fun to see about the kids of the MC’s from the previous universe by this author.
It’s alllllll connected
Loved Marshall (and for big/plus size MMC rep)
I liked the opposite attract, both are into the other but aren’t saying anything about it. There was good kind of light hearted angst.

This book has too much of one of the plots I hate the most about romance : non-communication, from the beginning to the almost end. The first half of the book was painful, the second half was a bit better.
Dual POV and my gosh they’re both so freaking cute. Ages: Marshall is 21 and Felix is 20 I think (I know he’s around the same age but not 21 yet). Saxon puts something in her stories I swear because I devour all of them so fast. If you like big, sweet guys and/or flirty, slightly insecure ones then you’ll love Marshall and Felix. But you may also want to shake both of them and yell at them to just tell the other what they want.
