Zugegebener Maßen bin ich selbst Schuld. Ich mochte Band 1 der Reihe nicht und habe mich trotzdem für Band 2 entschieden. Das lag auch daran, das ich Saxon James Reihe die sie gemeinsam mit Eden Finley geschrieben hatte, so sehr mag. Nun hat sich leider gezeigt, das mir dieser locker flockige zwingend auf Witz getrimmte Ton einfach nicht gefällt. Alles war so dermaßen oberflächlich, das es mich sehr genervt hat. Außerdem konnte ich einfach keine Chemie zwischen den beiden Hauptfiguren spüren. Da war kein Prickeln das mein Interesse gehalten hätte. Es gab ganz gute Ideen, die aber eben nur minimal aufgegriffen wurden. Schön und gut, das die Reihe vermutlich auch keinerlei Tiefe erzeugen möchte. Aber mir persönlich ist das einfach zu wenig um mich weiter dafür zu interessieren. Eine zu Flache Geschichte weckt bei mir nur gähnende Langeweile.
Das war für mich jedenfalls der letzte Versucht dem Projekt eine Chance zu geben. Schade, von Saxon James hatte ich mir wirklich sehr viel mehr erhofft.

I loved Felix unapologetic sex positivity and how he navigated having a relationship with someone where sex isn’t as much of a priority.
And I loved Marshall being such a sweetheart and the demisexual representation with his character as someone who is also ace(his coming out scene with this family was so🥺🥺🥺)
I just loved this one so much💕
Also it took me an embarrassingly long time to realize Bowser is Harrison from Saxon James’ other book in FU ‘A Stealthy Situation’—as I read the second series first—until they mentioned he was obsessed with plants. I’m so sorry king😭

This was sweet. I had read Robbie’s book first and followed the link in the back to read his brother’s story. While I wanted them to just talk to each other, it’s not always that easy to put your feelings on the line.
I’m not a big fan of next generation stories so that connection was a surprise.
