Really struggled to get into the book and couldn't find strength to keep picking it up
The premise of the story was fine…but the writing wasn’t for me and there were too many inconsistencies.

I might go back eventually when I want a low strife hockey read but I’m in a slump rn and this just was too boring to keep my attention
So BEYOND obsessed with Jake and Charlie. Their story was such a sweet second-chance romance! Also......be prepared to be crying a few chapters in when he's so sweetly and innocently meeting her kids and reentering her life. We always talk about badass FMC who fight to survive but Charlie was a true badass for leaving a relationship where she was greatly unappreciated.
This story was so smooth and heartwarming, I loved the fact that no matter how many years passed they were always thinking about each other. The way Jake immediately connected with Charlie's kids warmed my heart so much because it showed he wasn't just there for her, he was there for ALL of her.....the entire package.
