DNF.
This is probably the first time ever that I’ve started a book and not finished it. I read about 40% of it and could not continue. The story drags on sooo much, and the way the characters lives are written is so mundane and dull. I really wanted to be invested in Ruthie and Teddys relationship but its the type of slow burn thats draining and boring. The Hating Game is one of my favourite books so I’m sad that I couldnt finish this one

The story elements were unique enough to keep me reading, but I am not a fan of the messy boy/tidy girl dynamic.

It was a really cute book and I did enjoy it. I just feel that everything got resolved too neatly too quickly for me.
