This book was so cute!! I loved the diversity in this book and it felt so real about getting into online dating and not having a good work-life balance.
The main love interest is this motorcycle driving, tattooed, tall, dark hair man than inspires to run his own tattoo shop. The main character is a workaholic anxiety filled inexperienced 25 year old still trying to figure out how to make friends and online date. This book touched on childhood trauma, infidelity, abandonment, anxiety, and more.
While I liked this book as a whole there were a couple of things that really irked me. I am not a fan of the inexperienced almost virgin MC trope and the extra experienced teacher type love interest. Like the MC only ever having sex once at her senior prom and never dating or kissing anyone in the years to come seemed a bit overdone. Not saying that that can’t happen but it just seemed like a childish trope that I’m not a fan of. Also, the love interest not having any care or knowing how to cook and clean for himself… red flag. He just keep taking from the MC, even though she said it was her love language to give gifts I still didn’t like that.

This was fine. I felt like the last 1/3 was rushed and could have used more work. Very white characters (except one). Both Ruthie and Teddy’ at on journeys to heal from childhood trauma. They can’t do it without each other though. Both need to believe in themselves to help heal.
Moderate: Abandonment and Toxic relationship
Minor: Gaslighting

Delightful, tug at your heartstrings romcom. I had a smile on my face for most of it. Read it in a weekend. It lost a star for the rushed ending and the uncomfortable feeling in the beginning of the book where it felt like everyone was pushing Ruthie to do things she didn’t want to do.
Moderate: Religious bigotry and Panic attacks/disorders
Minor: Homophobia, Infidelity, Mental illness, Sexual content, and Toxic relationship
