Well well well. If it isn’t me thoroughly enjoying this little number. The first Nikki St Crowe book that I actually read on my kindle vs listening to and didn’t I just blow through it in one sitting. My only real complaint in this duet is this: Wendy. Darling. Sweetie. I hate to say it but I am not here for you. If it’s illegal to want more of Roc and Hook doing their thing (sans Wendy) then lock me up okay?!

I don’t think I’ve ever felt so complete and incomplete at the same time at the end of a book. Like we got our HEA for our throuple, but then there was definitely a lead into either more to their story or a next series and I’m not sure which. While I appreciated seeing Vane and Wendy, I felt like they had their time and this is Roc, Hook, and Wendy’s story…I wish I had gotten more of them. The story was fantastic. I just wish there was more.
This cast was brilliant. With a full cast duet style narration, this was an amazing audio.

This was a much anticipated sequel from Devourer of Men. I have loved Nikki’s writing since the first book I read of hers. 🫶 The multiple POV gives much needed depth to each character and the audio narration is top notch, as always! 👏 I really enjoyed listening to Vane and Roc and loved more insight into their relationship! There was not as much 🌶️ as previous, but still some 🔥 between the main characters!
This book felt very much like the second in a series, with a lot of build up to things to come! There were lots of hints throughout of where we are going next & there is so much potential for even more wild adventures. I’ll be here waiting! 👀🔍

I really liked this!
The story was fast paced, exciting, and titillating! I loved the way different fairy tales were twisted into dark and steamy tales. The book is fascinating and the narrators are fantastic! This is a good one to read and listen to at the same time.
