Kind of surprised by the ratio of spicy scenes. Not a bad thing. I enjoyed the plot. The twist at the end and tie to another reimagining was very enjoyable.

This one picks up right were book 1 leaves off. On their way to Neverland, Wendy and Hook go in search of Vane and a way to help Roc before is overtaken by a witch he devoured.
This was a little different than book 1, as we get multiple POV from other characters and a lot more insight into Roc and Vane’s past.
As much as I liked catching up with previous characters, I would have liked a bit more of a focus on Wendy, Hook and Roc together. Seeing their relationship get more page time as it didn’t feel like just their story. I was happy they had a chance to figure things out between, and get their HEA, but it could have been deeper and less rushed.
There is some mystery and intrigue that kept me curious and interested as we follow on their journey, but I did find it had a lot going on in the story beyond a romance for our three main characters.
This book also opened up a few new twists and a lead in to what will come next-a Vane and Roc origin story, which I will say I am curious about.
3.5⭐️
Loved the last book... what was this shit though?
Why were Vane and his darling and Asha taking so much page space?
Why there was almost no Hook and Roc interaction?
Worse Nikki St Crowe book to date. Felt like a filler... disappointed.
