Damn this one had a lof of answers about the world's mysteries. And I'm so glad Yui is real 😭 and that Gabimaru handled it so well. The Aza siblings tho, I'm rooting for them and I hope they make it out of the island alive. Mei's story is getting more and more traumatic, the poor child. Fuck Rien (looks like Chobe is taking it too literally uhh) The new arrivals look like bad news, just when everyone was starting to get along sighhhh

This volume answers a few long standing questions about the island while also setting up more questions about what is going on. Kaku really does an excellent job at constantly providing information while keeping the mystery of the island and what is truly going on running under the surface. We also get some important character moments and revelations. New characters were introduced in the last volume who it looks like will finally come into play in volume 7. I have a feeling that they will ultimately be the big bad of this series though there is an opportunity for lots more twists and turns.

This was better than volume 5 in my opinion. It was revealed in the previous volume that Gabimaru somehow lost his memories. Therefore, this volume focuses on Gabimaru and the people around him. The fights were good again. I'm super curious about Aza Chobei's future as he seems very interesting (of course other than Gabimaru). We also learn more about the island and its inhabitants. In addition, there are some new characters who are sent as reinforcement. The author is not shy about killing important people so right now I don't know who will survive.
