I've just started this book, since my daughter has to read it for school & neither of us is thrilled about it.. Through part one and so far it isn't awful. I'm hoping it stays that way!
And I've now stopped reading it.. Just couldn't finish this awful book...

Lots of good twists and turns-and I liked the way it ended! Not the best book like OMG I MUST READ MORE AHHHHH YAY I LOVE IT. But more of a "okay that was good." Regardless, I will definitely read the next book!

4.5/5 Imaginative and fun. The mysteries of the world of Everlost still keep me thinking.

Everlost was terrific. Neal Shusterman has such a brilliant way of looking at things and creating fantastic ways to show you truths about yourself. He manages to do all of this while still taking you on a crazy journey. Everlost was probably the lonliest of the Shusterman books I've read so far. It's really hard to be in this "in-between" world with Allie, Nick, and Lief. You just feel very grateful to be alive while reading. I can't wait to continue the series and recommend these books highly

Another entry in the Teenage Afterlife genre. The kids die, they get sent to a world that's imagined according to precise rules about what they can and can't do, they figure stuff out, come to terms with death, etc.
