Currently in my reread era! And I was worried I wouldn’t love these as much as the second time around but BOY was I wrong. It’s so fun knowing who celaena ends up being…and her story this early on. There is SO MUCH foreshadowing and little Easter eggs that Sarah drops. I am listening to it this time around and don’t love the narrators voice for Dorian but hey, it’s all still so good. Still give it 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Okay I really did love this book but it was not a five star book and I don’t think I can place why. I like the characters and plot but I feel like it just brushes the surface, hence why I will 1000% be reading the rest of the series.
My eyes hurt due to the amount of eye rolls I made.
Annoying characters and story does not make sense. Like she's supposed to be the best assassin and yet gets startled so easily?? LOL.
Also how are you gonna start being attractive to the people of a kingdom that are horrible?? I get she's trying to do an enemies to lovers but make it make sense though. Honestly I would keep reading for the side characters, they actually sound much more interesting than the main characters.

He de decir que vengo de leer un libro con muchísima acción y este ha sido mucho más tranquilo y necesitaba un poco más de movimiento. Por el resto, ha sido un buen comienzo de saga aunque me imaginaba a celaena diferente. Ha estado bien, si no fuera por las expectativas de la saga quizás la hubiera dejado aquí peeeero confío en el proceso
