Nate and brownwyn are an amazing couple - and addys character development is so good bc at first she was insecure and always following Jake’s rules but then she became independent and just great. It does get a bit slow but then it speeds up again eventually. Also, it’s lacking tension which is why I prefer the sequel to it more (one of us is next) which is unpredictable and full of suspense.

i would’ve never in a million years predicted that Simon killed himself and Jake helped him

This was a fascinating mystery thriller. I really enjoyed the twists and turns. The characters were so well formed that you root for all of them. I thought the ending was well done. I think it would be 5 stars except for that I got lost sometimes with that many side characters.

This was pretty good!! I enjoyed the buildup a lot and I loved how the characters ended up becoming really close by the end of the story. I wasn't really shocked with the plot-twists, because it felt kind of obvious. But still, it was really good and a great read.

So basically (spoilers ahead like a big one)

Simon, the person dies, commits suicide by triggering his own allergic reaction and then tries to pin it on the four main characters. Nates dad is also an alcoholic and his mom abandoned him bc of drug addiction and she is bipolar as well.
