Definitely looking forward to the rest of the series. Miles is a really interesting character, and the setting is very fun.
One thing I love about this series is that the status quo significantly changes from book to book as a reaction to the plot.
This is the book where Miles learns about being a commander. When to give orders, when to follow them, when to get out of the way, and when to rebel. The plot includes arctic military bases slowly going crazy with cabin fever, looming intergalactic war, and space pirates.

Another satisfying reread— which held up better than the first Miles book, more like the rest of the series; enough twisty plot details that I didn’t remember how it all went and got to enjoy it fresh. I’d forgotten quite how military the early novels were, which is less to my taste here, but the book did a good job of actually exploring military ethics. I also liked how believable Miles is as a sort of prodigy— talent without experience or patience.

Really good book. Miles is slowly descending into insanity and I enjoy it. It was a bit of a mish-mash since a Novella was integrated into it but other than that I was a solid read.
Oh dear, I think I might be hooked after all. Miles really is delightful, for a young male protagonist, and the plot twists carry one along from one thing to the next.
Observo que me he saltado [b:Brothers in Arms|296182|Brothers in Arms (Vorkosigan Saga, #5)|Lois McMaster Bujold|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1681493541l/296182._SY75_.jpg|1808918]. Habrá que ponerle remedio.
