It was interesting but the chapter on obesity was relying on outdated info (the book was published over 20 years ago so I'm assuming that's why).

This was very eye-opening for me. The last chapter was buckwild.
Medicine is often viewed as calculated, unemotional. You look at a certain set of symptoms which tell you a diagnoses which tells you the treatment. Gawande paints an entirely different picture. I really appreciate someone in the medicine field freely discussing the ethical questions and unknowns that come with the job. I know this book will be one that I think back on a lot.
