Still enjoying this series so far but the pacing is a lil odd to me and the way the story is told is a lil cliché for my tastes. I think the main thing that made me eyeroll when reading is time passing by a character being deep in thought and then boight back to reality. It just happened enough btwn vol 1-2 that it's repetitive? But the story is okay! Like I have problems with it but i like it enough to keep continuing

It's worrying how much I love this series, to be honest. Not since Blue Flag has a series had this kind of grip on me, and it was 10 Dance before that. There's such a sweet tone and purpose to this story and it makes the love between Kohei and Taichi truly wonderful to read about.

This story introduces another HoH character, Maya, who attaches to Kohei because he understands that there are some resources for deaf people that aren't afforded to HoH students. She is very wary of Taichi and doesn't understand Kohei's attachment to someone so loud and at times, thoughtless. There are a few moments where Kohei just explains that he likes Taichi because Taichi actually makes it easier to just enjoy being with him and he includes Kohei in his life and others' jokes effortlessly. And mostly because he just loves how passionate and impulsive Taichi is.

Taichi finds a new purpose and joins a company geared at trying to help hearing people gain access to communication techniques for deaf people, in hopes that the knowledge becomes more widespread and that helps deaf people in the long run. Taichi joins in hopes of trying to make it easier for deaf and HoH people, but a huge reason is that he wants to keep seeing Kohei smile and it was about this time that I wanted to throw this book around the room because of the sweetness.

There's the miscommunication trope here, because that's a common thing in romance, but the payoff at the end of this book was worth it. My heart is full and I can't wait to read the next parts.

I cried toward the end. It doesn't focus much on romance, but the fact that they have problems bigger than romance, thoughts running alongside thoughts of each other feels more realistic. It makes the characters more fleshed out, with more to them then their potential romance. Its endearing, sweet, heartfelt, and I want to read the next one.

Tachi had a number of things to consider and face in this vol compared to book one. And our sweet Kohei was grappling with his feelings for Tachi and doing his bet to maintain their friendship. The introduction of Maya was and adjustment, but she brought depth and a nuance to story as a whole particularly when talking about the hard of hearing community.

I loved this volume. There is major miscommunication trope stuff happening in this manga, but it actually works and makes sense for Kohei and Taichi. This book is very hopeful and full of love and warmth and just enough angst.
