This book was quick to catch my attention, with Callie being an interesting narrator. While I guessed the twist, that Callie was the sibling who had died, pretty quickly, I am interested to see what happens with Bodey and the rest of the advisors as they navigate her becoming the new ruler. I’m also interested to see what happens with Stevie who seemed to know she was the future queen.

This wasn’t bad, honestly. It’s been a while since I’ve found a shifter book that captured my attention like this one. The only thing that lacked really was the description of the MFC. I could not imagine her in my head but maybe that’s what the picture on the book is for. There is a lot of character building. If you like a protective alpha and an underdog coming out on top, I think you’ll like this series.
