This series is typically classified as young adult (YA) and while I think the first book of the series is, I would not say that this book is YA anymore. I would classify it as New Adult due to its detailed sexual content. It does not have the most graphic depictions I have ever read, but it is vastly different from where the series started.anastashamarie's review against another edition

š I think that the "memory loss" trope is a hard one to get right because, by nature, there has to be a lot of telling rather than showing for the MC and the reader to get caught up in the story. Especially in a mystery, which is what this book is at its core, I hate when the reader is just told the answers. That's my biggest gripe with this book without getting spoilery.
š That said, I thoroughly enjoyed the ride that this series has been. I liked seeing how all the pieces laid out in Book 1 fit in by the end of this book. I liked the relationship between Emilia and her love interest. I liked the interplay between the Princes of Hell, which we got to see more of in this book. I didn't always love the pacing or the storytelling style, but I did enjoy the writing style (I hope that differentiation makes sense?).
š¤ Overall this was a super fun series that I would have binged in a few days if I didn't have to wait for my Libby holds to come in. Cute banter. Steamy tension. Enough mystery and side plots left that there is room for the series to continue even though I feel like this wrapped up Emilia's arc pretty well.

Thereās a lot of spice and although I often read spicy books, at times it felt too much for me and took away the story.
While I did enjoy Emilia becoming this fearless, not giving a damn and destroying everything in her wake if someone touched Wrath, I did not enjoy how she was introduced later. I donāt want to spoil anything, but I had wished Kerri came up with a better idea to give Emilia these very realm destroying powers. I also screamed at her half the time because she really hold on to her dear sister too much.
The whole story in this book is very fast paced and everything happens literally within a few days. Which kind of annoyed me and I was asking to give the characters some damn time to at least get some sleep š every encounter between Emilia and Wrath also ended up in kind of a spicy scene. I can understand that you always want to tear off each otherās clothes, but can you have a normal conversation for once?
I do have to admit that Daddy Wrath is one of my favorite book boyfriends. He knew all along and the wicked things he says and does š®āšØ
Thatās what I want in a romance. Let the couple choose each other every time, I donāt give a damn if they are not supposed to be together or whatever reasons authors come up with. Thatās why I liked Emiliaās character development very much in this book. With except the few choices she made that had me screaming š but I can look over that.
So now, the question remains, will there be more books? Because while they had a HEA, it was still kind of an open end and as Emilia said there are still parties involved that can retaliate any secondā¦
