“Once you see that people you love and trust accept you for who you are and don’t judge you, you’ll be more likely to take some risks that could result in others outside of your network seeing your panicked state.”

This was so good. I cried my heart out. My eyes are swollen and red, my heart is feeling so many emotions.
I didn't expect for this read to be so emotional and tugging everything in my heart.

In the first few chapters, I was just okay we getting a plotline of pen pal letters from kids now they are adults. I guess their topics are about sex. okay cool.
But over time, the subject gets even deeper, and the plotline has so much depth in it.

We follow Luca who suffers from PTSD, anxiety and agoraphobia.
Touching on these realistic happenings is already raw, honest and relatable.
The solely focused on Luca's journey with what she goes through and how it is affecting and in the long run will affect her life and her relationship with people and Griffin.
We feel everything she felt, all the highs and lows, good days and bad days.

With Griffin, we follow along a perspective of someone who is new to the environment of what Luca goes through and is trying to adapt and be the help he can.
It was difficult, not a straightforward road, but so so beautiful.

Their relationship chemistry is hearts, rainbows, rainy and thunderstorm days.
It was so beautiful reading every single world and chapter that sometimes it's so heartbreaking.
Griffin was OMG, God bless his sweetness. Everything that pours out of his mouth is pure perfection.
How sweet he was, everything speech he made and he should be a therapist, HAHAHHA.
I enjoyed reading Luca's journey, which was completely no filter, and her relationship with Doc was so heartwarming.
It's totally reliable on her anxiety and her relationship with grief.

This read was filled with so much love, warmth and sadness.
Every sentence was a quote itself that I love even more.

“Our fears are temporary—they come and go throughout life. But regret is permanent—we carry it with us forever.”

3.5 stars (for Hortensia the pig)

I find it so hard to say anything about this book because about 85% of time I was "meh" about it. I feel like I went into with expectations so high that I conditioned myself that I will eventually give this a 4+ stars. Yet, here we are.

Still, I appreciate the inclusion of mental health in the story. However, I can't speak of accuracy since I do not have firsthand experience with those present in the story (i.e. agoraphobia, fear of crowds). I appreciate how the hero accepted this in the heroine and didn't see it as a flaw by an means.

Overall, I don't hate this book at all. But I don't think I'll recommend it either. If you're a fan of this author duo, I think you'll be inclined to read this. Having read a few other of their works, I can say this is not one of their better creations.

CW: death of a friend, death of a parent, cancer, panic attack, agoraphobia

I liked Luca and Griffin. I liked that they dealt with Luca's mental issues and that their love wasn't a magic bandaid. I loved that this all started by them becoming elementary school pen pals. I really liked that Griffin understood how he felt and that he didn't it want to take precedence over Luca's happiness. That he was willing to listen to her and step back to make sure that she would be happy and healthy.

I’m disappointed in this book, like it honestly did not hit the spot. It kinda read like a wattpad story, the dialogue didn’t flow and the interactions felt forced between the characters. I think the book had potential, and there was so much that could’ve been done with it, but it felt awkward and tense at some points. My favourite character in this book
was izzy and she’s dead

i cant say that i’ll be reading many of her books beyond this one
