Once again these ladies have blown my mind with their words. They haven't written a story I haven't loved. And that cover model....woooot woo!

I really enjoyed reading about pen pals, I used to have one myself when I younger, sadly as I got older we drifted apart, but this story helped refresh those lovely memories.

I felt the pain, anxiety and the connection between Luca and Griffin through their letters.

An emotional story worth reading.

One thing about me is, I LOVE the exchanging of letters/texts/emails in books so I was immediately invested when I started. But as someone with severe social anxiety I related to a lot of how Luca felt, which obviously made me fall extra in love with Griffin

So I spent quite a bit of time in January travelling, commuting or sitting in doctor’s offices waiting for results. Kindle Unlimited (KU) was a god send as all my regular reading was not working for me (nothing to do with the book and all to do with my stress levels).

Anyway, I picked this up because I recognize used the names of both authors. Thankfully, I did not regret the decision, even though this was more sweet than “dirty”. The “dirty letters” were hardly raunchy unless clinical descriptions are sexy. Maybe they are but I giggled more than I expected.

This was a cute romance about friends connecting after a while and finding love. The heroine suffers from extreme anxiety which made this book different; the problems the couple faced were real but not in a ridiculous fashion. I usually find high stake problems (like the end of the world, mysteries, fate of the nation etc.) distracting in romance but here it just worked. The couple worked together as a couple - despite some obligatory separation. They worked at it. There was more sensitivity here than I expected which goes to show that I shouldn’t have been prejudiced against KU’s books. Or maybe it’s this author combo who is great. Either way, I really enjoyed this book.

Definitely give this one a try. I will say though that if you get annoyed by the tweeness of the letters than put it down. The first half to third of the book in quite reliant on the charm of those letters. They worked for me but if they bug you I don't think you’ll be predisposed to like the relationship.

**My thanks to Montlake Romance for providing me with a free copy for an honest review**

This is the first time that i have either read a collaboration between these authors or read anything by Penelope Ward. I can honestly say that i really enjoyed this book and that i will more than likely read more from these authors in the future.

Griff sends Luca a letter, the first letter that Luca has received in eight years after an accident just stopped her sending letters back to her penpal Griff. His letter prompts her to open his last letter and the rest starts from there.

Luca has many issues, most which result from a friends death in a fire at a concert and she is now agoraphobic and apart from not leaving her house much, she also hates anywhere even slightly crowded.

Griff is finally a musician, but he has found that it comes at a cost and he has struggled to find someone to be close with. After their letter connection and subsequent dirty letters, after a leap of faith, finally meet.

The chemistry between the pair is awesome and the way that Griff looks after Luca without being asked and fights for the girl he loves is simply heart warming. Luca is certainly one lucky girl with how Griff takes care of her and her needs even if it hurts him.

I really, really enjoyed this story and look forward to more collaborations from these authors.

I don't understand why it has such an incredibly high rating. I did not find anything special within this story, apart from an annoying hero and a feeble heroine.

Not much to say about this one. I enjoyed the letters in the beginning but once that stopped it was kinda boring..
