I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed it! I will say that I love listening to memoirs as audiobooks whenever I need to complete mundane tasks like folding laundry or doing the dishes. It keeps things interesting. This was my first completed read of January -- it admittedly took me most of December to get through. Carmen Maria Machado helped me process and unpack a lot of similar trauma. I don't usually rate memoirs, but I do recommend this!

Carmen Maria Machado, I know this is a memoir but I also feel like you're obligated to pay for my therapy bills after making me hurt and ache and internally sob at every single word you made me read with my own eyes.

beautifully written and incredibly powerful, though frustrating at times
