Such a lovely, well-done short story collection. I love the mix of styles, from longer stories to a list. It was thoughtful and subtle and sweet, even when dark.

I really enjoyed listening to this. It was incredibly moving, emotional and empowering. The author added so much depth into these characters and it was amazing. I loved the multiple different stories and points-of-view.

excellent short stories about trans women finding their places in the world. I loved the audiobook. I’m excited to read Plett’s other two books, as she views them as a sort of informal trilogy.

I got this for free off of the author's website, so definitely check that out if you're considering reading it! I liked this little collection for the most part, although there were a couple I really didn't like and a couple I loved. I fully skipped past the one where the cat talks, it was so annoying to me. I liked how introspective so many of the stories were, how I got to dive deep into the characters even when the story was brief. Worth a read!
