Such a lovely, well-done short story collection. I love the mix of styles, from longer stories to a list. It was thoughtful and subtle and sweet, even when dark.

This is an absolute must read for trans women the world over. The way it spoke to me and saw me is like no other piece of fiction I’ve yet read. Difficult to face, at times, but absolutely worth the emotional effort.

Thank you NetGalley and ECW Press Audio for giving me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed listening to this. It was incredibly moving, emotional and empowering. The author added so much depth into these characters and it was amazing. I loved the multiple different stories and points-of-view.

excellent short stories about trans women finding their places in the world. I loved the audiobook. I’m excited to read Plett’s other two books, as she views them as a sort of informal trilogy.
so glad this was republished!
