solid read - better than the first one
I really liked that we were able to get to know Morgan a lot more and give him some more depth in this one but I also wish he was Less Like That and would try actual communication and problem solving. Pip is maybe the light of my life and I'm so incredibly glad that she doesn't take his shit but it does take some suspending of my disbelief to put them together. There are also ZERO consequences for Junebug scamming Pip into coming and also disappearing to some random town? I guess the consequences are that he doesn't come straight home and is traveling around a little with his wife. Loved that Willabelle comes back because I love to hate her.
Ok damn I loved this one more than the last! It was fun and emotional and I seriously devoured it.
Pip and Morgan had some insane chemistry. There is just such amazing tension and the build up with the thrown in steam was done with perfection. I loved their banter and everything. Morgan though so gruff, made me swoon. And I love that Pip doesn’t make things easy for him.
The McBride family is so awesome and fun! I am loving this small town historical romance series!
Also the narrator again smashed it out of the park!

Well written but not necessarily to my taste. I came in expecting a romance and that portion only felt like a very minor subplot. I spent most of the book feeling uncomfortable
These books are my guilty pleasure. They’re for entertainment purposes only. But I think that’s the author’s intent. Romance, laughter, and a little ridiculousness.
Fair warning there’s a pretty steamy, well-described wedding night towards the end of the book. ❤️
