4.5 stars!
This was sooooo much fun! I don't think I've been so in love with a cast of characters like this in a while!
Pandora is a vampire who to unlock her inheritance has to be married by her 125th birthday, but she's only just realised this and her birthday is mere months away. But then she overhears a regular at her work, and also her crush "Caramel Macchiato Cutie" (or Victor) and feels she might be able to offer them both a way out of their predicaments. Only thing is, he doesn't and can never know that she's a vampire. And not only that, but her very extensive family are quite old-fashioned and throwing a human into the middle of their chaos might just give it all away.
I loved that Pandora was challenging a lot of the vampire stereotypes and how she wanted to integrate more into the "human" world as well as bringing all species together.
This book includes:
vampires, werewolves, gargoyles (I will need an extra story about my beloveds please) and mentions of more creatures!
I also neeeed another story about Lucy and Elias please and thank you! Because their bickering was top tier and I need mooooore of them.
Oh and Pandora and Victor? Chemistry levels off the charts! They were literally so perfect for each other and they were such a joy to read, especially seeing them navigate all of the obstacles their families (mainly Pandora's) threw at them.
This was just incredibly fun and I flew threw it! I was cackling throughout but also became so attached to the characters! They each had their own quirks and it's rare that I enjoy such a big cast of characters but they were all presented so well that I could not only clearly imagine them but also felt like I was in the room with them. If you want a cute but also slightly steamy rom-com with VAMPIRES! (my fave) then this is the book for you!
Also just so we're clear, I would read a whole book about Vlad!

If there's one thing about me, it's that I will absolutely devour any vampire romance I come across. And I did, in fact, eat this book up.
Our FMC, Pandora, is approaching her 125th birthday when she will receive her long awaited inheritance. But her parents drop a bomb on her dream of buying and remodeling her very own bookstore - she must be married to obtain her inheritance and she is painfully single.
Our MMC, Victor, happens to be in the right place at the right time. Having recently come into a financial crisis himself, the two decide to concoct a fake relationship for a share of the money.
The slow burn romance was sweet, though I often didn't feel the chemistry between the characters. Because Pandora is our narrator, we get a deep look into her thoughts and feelings, but Victor's dialogue and behavior didn't have me convinced until the end (I can see why Ophelia felt that way, too). I felt more chemistry between Lucy and Elias with their witty, hilarious banter and tension. I truly hope the author plans to write a second book featuring them because I'll be one of the first to snag it!
Overall, this book had all the tropes I love in a romance plus the added fun of paranormal creatures and shenanigans that come along with them. Only one bed, fake dating, marriage of convenience and a well done third act break up (which I am not usually a fan of, but this one felt right).
I really liked this book, but I didn't love it and I felt like I had to really push to get through some parts, hence the 3 stars. But I would still absolutely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a fun paranormal romance.

This story follows Pandora and Victor, she is a vampire who needs to get married to revive her family inheritance, and he is a human customer at the coffee shop where she works who needs to find the funds to finish his PHD, a marriage of convenience seems like the perfect way to solve both their problems. However, Pandora just happens to forget to mention that she has had a crush on Victor ever since he stepped foot in the shop and ordered his first caramel macchiato.
I really liked the sound of this, the premise was great and it was really low stakes, a quick easy rom-com paranormal read. However I did find it difficult to stay engaged throughout the whole book and found there were moments I was skimming ahead to see what happened next.
I also could not stop thinking about Hotel Transylvania the hotel, and it felt like some weird new adult version!
I loved the characters and the family drama, there were moments I really laughed, but there were also moments I found there were so many characters I got a bit lost in who was who and what that meant. But it was very funny and I loved the elements of the vampires trying to hide themselves from Victor and cater to a human.
If you are looking for a low spice, low stakes, funny, paranormal rom-com then this would be perfect for that š¤

This was a lot of fun. Turns out even vampire have ridiculous marriage clauses in their inheritance, who would have thought? As a result Pandora enlists her crush to fake date and marry to get her money, and while keeping him in the dark of her true nature, she just so happens to fall in love with him.
Iāve really enjoyed the book. Itās lighthearted and fun, Pandora and Victor are cute and Pandoraās crazy vampire family is really funny. The side characters like her best friend, parents, brother, Elias, all make for sure there wonāt be a dull moment in the book.
*I received an ARC of this book, this is my honest opinion*

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Avon Books UK Publishing for providing an ARC.
A slow burn, vampire/human fake dating/marriage for inheritance romance was witty, fun and eventful to say the least!
Join Pandora and Victor on a cute bookish adventure organising their fake wedding whilst trying to avoid the peculiar family members and not spill the film secrets!
We meet some comical, flirty and no-filter characters along the way with plenty of banter! You'll love Vlad ā¤ļø

3.5/5
The book itself is cute and cozy. A fake marriage arrangement for an inheritance between a vampire coffee shop worker and her long time human customer crush. It's a VERY slow burn, friends(?) to lovers romcom.
The book gets very meta sometimes since both MCs are avid readers, so tropes are mentioned by name a lot. If this is something that annoys you, I'd avoid this book.
The FMC was more relatable than the MMC. He was honestly kind of boring? We don't really get a lot of opportunities to see his personality come through. My favorite characters were the best friend Lucy and another vampire Elias, who honestly had way more chemistry than the MCs. There's definitely potential for them having their own book.
Overall, the book was fine. If you're looking for an easy, cute paranormal romance, this could be a book for you.

This was SUCH a fun read, I found myself giggling so many times itās not even funny - I actually almost fell off my treadmill because I was so engrossed in the book I forgot I was bloody walking on it š
What I think really made this book was that, whilst I was naturally invested in Pandora and Victorās story, I was just as invested in a whole host of different side characters (I donāt think I can name drop, but thereās at least 5 that Iād love to get their own books!). Honestly thereās not a single second of this book that I didnāt enjoy ā¤ļø

This was so fun! At times a little wacky, but it just added to the story's charm.
Pandora's family and their quirks were the highlight of the book. Because of this, I think Pandora and Victor's love story suffered just a smidge. They had a wonderful slow burn, but I still wanted to SEE a little bit more of our two MCs falling in love, rather than just be told it as the story progressed.
If you enjoy a ridiculous plot, family shenanigans, and a sweet romance, this book if for you! A highly entertaining story, that I'm sure I'll read again and again.
Thank you to Avon and NetGalley for the eARC!
If youāre looking for a comforting rom-com with supernatural elements this could scratch that itch.
Thereās marriage of convenience, talking pets, spice, a vampire family which continues to grow and grow, secret keeping and a wedding which starts getting out of hand thanks to said vampire family.
I would have a liked a little more depth to Victor and to see certain family members get their comeuppances but I did like the chemistry between the characters and their shared interests, the quirky family members and the storyline as a whole.
