Ooooooh that was exactly the ending I didn’t know I needed. Excuse me while I mope for a few days because I don’t want it to be over!

Seriously, this whole story hit me right in the heart. It’s so beautiful, it’s so touching, it’s so real…I’m in awe at this storytelling. And the art. Oh gods. It’s so gorgeous!

I empathized a lot with Lisa in this one. I mean, I’m a writer, too! I like puzzles, too! And her realization that she comes to (but I won’t spoil it for anyone who hasn’t read yet), it’s poignant and I have definitely had one along the same lines in my own relationships!

I’m really sad to say good bye to these characters for now, but I hope to spend plenty more time with them in the spin-off stories!

The entirety of Sunstone gets 5 stars from me. Which is rare—normally there’s one part of a series that stands out above the rest. But every part of this is amazing, and integral, and gave me lots of feels.

This volume hit me so hard! I have loved every instalment of this series so far, but didn't realise just how much I cared about these characters and how invested in their story I was until I read through this volume. There were more than a few moments that made me laugh out loud, and well up with tears.

Sejic has struck a perfect balance of tone here in my opinion. All the more intense emotional, serious or saccharine moments, are always offset by a healthy dose of humour and self awareness, that ensures the angst is never laid on to thick, while never going so far as to trivialise the characters or their issues.

In all, this was an immensely gratifying conclusion to Ally and Lisa's story, that was made all the more satisfying by the journey that we went through to get here over the last 4 volumes, all the ups, and the downs.

I couldn't recommend this series enough, and I can't wait to read on about Ally, Lisa and all their friends in the next series 'Mercy' and any others to come!

3.5 stars because the middle was too long for my taste, the volume could've been shorter.

In any case, Lisa + Ally = <3
The art was lovely, I enjoyed the panel composition and vavrious creative ways to portray dialogues and self-reflecting.
