Sweet Jesus...

I'm not sure what hit harder, the fact that I didn't know I was reading the end of the story, or the fact that it was such an emotional, honest, and heartfelt conclusion!! If there's a waver in my voice in the next podcast episode it's because I had to record moments after finishing this story.

Part of me wants to continue on with "Mercy"...part of me just wants to stop here.

Sunstone started off as entertaining for me, what also hooked me was the positive and healthy BDSM aspects and the LGBT representation.

As for the story... it dragged for me. I think the last volume went on too much, I wish Lisa would've just spit out that she liked Ali instead of dragging it out in story form. Although I can see where it's creative it's just boring and unnecessary for my tastes.

The series in general was a hit and miss, I also thought it was too cheesy at times. I do adore Ali and Lisa's relationship, they are adorable. The characters are definitely interesting and well written, it felt like at times you actually know these fictional characters.

Loved this series! Sad that it's over, but also excited to hear there are more spin-off series coming!

I'm so happy the Ally/Lisa story is resolving but... I'm also super sad it's ending! I want more.

Basically I've read 1-5, I think the comic goes on after that but... 1-5 was what I was most interested in, and what worked the best for me. I read this back on like, DeviantArt and was happy to buy trades of it when they were available.

Also, I realized when I re-read 1-4 earlier this month that I didn't own 5 and promptly bought it.

I must say I think it actually got better. The plot followed a structure, and sure, it was contrived and overdone (too wordy and featuring realisations that should have been reached ages ago while glossing over and treating as solved issues that seemed to loom large for the characters before), but at least it had a goal and it reached it, and it worked within the genre of romance. I'm glad about the progression of time that took place, too: it made it seem more realistic. I wouldn't have minded to see more of the happy ending, but abrupt ends for romances are par for the course sometimes.

It had some really good art, too - though I can't get over how similar some characters look and how difficult it makes it to tell them apart.

I'm vaguely curious about the continuation. Well, the one without Alan, anyway.

One of the best romance stories I have ever read. This conlcudes the story between Lisa and Ally, but there will be spinoffs to expand and wrap up other characters story arcs. The art is stunning and beautiful.

So fun, so hot, love this comic series. Can't wait to start the Mercy Arc now that I've finished Sunstone, finally, after LIKE TEN YEARS--first started reading it on DA and then lost track of it ('cause Internet; physical media hold my crappy attention span better). Loved the ending. So happy for the MCs. :3c Now to get my wife to read it.
