It was enjoyable but as far as enemies to lovers it wasn’t giving enough

“Am I really about to reconsider this ridiculous idea of his. Yes. Yes, I am”

And I’m so glad he did because holy crap did I need a good book. The tension filled in this book is top tier and I can’t compare it to anything else (at the moment). The enemies to enemies with benefits to friends with benefits to lovers??? Absolutely unmatched.

I loved listening to this audiobook! This is my first book by CE Ricci and if her other books are anything like this one, I'll be diving into them sometime soon. I loved the enemies to teammates with benefits to lovers vibe. Big big fan.

Cute! I struggled a lot for nearly the whole first half of the book to tell who was who in terms of the MCs, I think their narrative voices could have been a lot stronger/more distinct. But otherwise a fun enemies to lovers hockey read, and I’ll probably pick up the next one in the series!

This book first of all was filthy! Once they did start hooking up it was like damn they are having so much fucking sex and it’s kinda crazy the places they would do it. On a different note tho, this book had everything that I’ve been currently obsessed with reading - hockey, gayness, enemies to lovers!
I don’t have much to say about the characters other than it was really nice reading about Quinton letting himself be vulnerable around Oakley and learn to deal with his anger but it was also nice reading about how Oakley learned to just relax and be carefree. They worked so well together as a couple as they matched each other in the game and outside the game.  They were both cute and hot at the same time. I really did like this book and can’t wait to read the rest of the series
