This book isn’t as well written as a few of the others in this series. The timeline doesn’t always add up, there are plot holes/things that don’t make sense, and there isn’t as much detail. It feels like this book was just quickly written because she needed to write another book without giving much thought to it. Also- there were definitely some inaccuracies making it feel inauthentic. I liked the main characters but it wasn’t enough to overcome all my other issues with this book. Similar to the second book, the serious issues in this book felt a little glossed over. Plus the ending was so convenient. Skip this one if you’re not into the whole series.
I guess I’m not into the pregnancy trope- at least not done the way it was here.

overall the book is good, nice and quick read. the dynamic between the two main characters is good but pregnancy is such a big part of the book 😬
i felt like things moved a bit too fast at the beginning and then too slow, but there’s is no problems with communication between the mc and their relationship is healthy

Pregnancy is a big part of this book. Such a big part that it should have been in the synopsis.

TW: pregnancy, labor, delivery, breastfeeding, domestic violence.

This book was way more serious than I expected, dealing with domestic violence and the aftermath. It was very well done, and I loved Grant’s soft side. I always enjoy a good grumpy hero, and he definitely was that!
