This was a perfect summer read! i love Rhett and Link and this book totally captured their humor and their childhood in another universe. The north carolina 90s small town setting was so much fun and the plot was such a wild adventure HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I loved this book so much, it reminded me of a nostalgic kind of southern gothic aesthetic. It felt like a mash of Ethel cain and the movie stand by me. I will have a fit if this book doesn’t get the chance of having a sequel.

Great book

I enjoyed the journey this book took me on. I will say it was to not just call the main characters Rhett and Link. Lol

Holy cow. The boys did it! This book was a great debut novel for the duo. It kept me on my toes, was well-paced, had relatable characters, and gave me the heeby-geebies at times. The beginning is a little slow, but once you get through that, it’s fun!

I liked the book a lot. The writting is odd a little bit here and the protagonists seem like they are much younger than they are, but the story was good. I don't normally like horror but this one wasn't too bad because it's not too, too dark or scary. The story was okay for the most part, it took a little bit to get going but once it kicks off and starts it does get better and you don't want to put the book down. I wasn't a huge fan of the ending because it feels like there should be a book 2. I also wish that we learn what happened to Ruby after her father dies and why she was taken in the first place, but other than that it was a pretty ok book, especially if you like Good Mythical morning and Rhett and Link.
