I absolutely loved this book!
Super fast paced, this book was written in a way that was intriguing and kept me guessing right until the end.
The characters had so much depth to them and their backstories made the story even bigger and better.

I loved this book! It was written so well! When is the last time you found a murder mysterious actually funny? My favorite thing about this was the main character constantly breaking the fourth wall and talking to us directly.

I found this book to be very clever! Once you get into the rhythm of the narrator breaking the fourth wall and speaking directly to you, it becomes an enjoyable experience. Admittedly, he can come off a bit like that overenthusiastic child in the backseat on a long road trip!

While I wasn't particularly fond of the main character, there were plenty of other interesting personalities to keep things engaging—though, I will say, there were perhaps a few too many characters to keep track of at times. Despite that, the plot twist at the end was a surprise, and definitely worth the read. I’d highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good mystery and has a love for witty, “inside” jokes. It’s a fun, lighthearted read for fans of both the genre and the craft of writing itself!

When I saw the book described as Knives Out meets Clue, I was sold. And I was not disappointed. The book does a wonderful job of breaking the 4th wall as the main character, Ernest, talks directly to the reader/listener while talking about a family reunion gone awry - and the family history that lead up to that moment.
