I started this one last summer in the early days of my concussion recovery and almost immediately needed to know how it would end. So I googled the ending, read the last two pages, and put it down (one of my worst flaws, I know). I later picked it back up and read a chapter every few weeks, enjoying the writing style and soaking up the scenery. I thought it was beautifully written - compelling & heartwrenching, a lot to digest.

The story was so good and compelling despite jumping around in so many uncertain ways and then it just rolls off at the end as if there isn’t 350+ pages to tie up. A bummer ending.

Trigger warning: I didn’t feel like the book synopsis adequately describes the book. To me, the description made it sound light hearted and fun. While parts of that exist, there are some very serious aspects to the book, mainly related to sexual assault.

Beautifully written.
The ending or rather her choice at the end was kind of confusing because I didn’t feel super connected to her and didn’t really understand the thoughts she had about the whole situation. It felt like she just wanted something new and threw her life away for it. Her choice didn’t feel like she thought it through which was a little disappointing. Like I get that you’re confused and love both of them but maybe let me in on your thought process and maybe I’ll understand your choice, but this? Idk.
Still really enjoyed the style of writing
