nice little ghost story

I loved this little short story! I went into it already knowing the basics of the monkey paw story, but the original definitely deserves all the adaptations it has sparked over the years.

This book was creepy to say the least. A true horror in what it represents. The plot centres around a man who obtains an enchanted Monkey's Paw that will grant three wishes to it's owner, each with a consequence. 'Be careful what you wish for' is a phrase that definitely applies with this story. I wouldn't say it terrified me but it certainly makes you think and there is a reason why it is placed in the Horror genre.

I've wanted to read this for a while after The Simpsons episode. Really clever short horror story, and I love how all the wishes could've just been coincidences!
