Loved every second of this
Perfect for fans of Goddess of the Hunt, Ode to Persephone, the best cat in show, and Not a Lot of Reasons to Sing, but Enough, this collection grabbed me immediately and wouldn't let go until I'd finished. Verdict is still out on whether it will let me go now that I've finished reading it.

As prose stories recount plot, these poems recount emotion: the many stages of yearning for a heart’s companion who cannot ever return.

Pure poetry
I wasn't sure what to expect when I got this book, but I loved all the poems in it. There were so many sections I highlighted. I think Lieberman captured the essence of grief so perfectly and it reminded me a lot of Tennyson's In Memoriam poems. There was so much packed into so little.

I loved the concept of this collection, and I thought that most of the work was very well done, especially in isolation. Together, they became too repetitive for me to enjoy.
